Request approval of the special event grant funding for Summervibes Clearwater produced by ILDS, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $9,150.

SUMMARY:
The purpose of this item is to request approval of funding for the ILDS, Inc. Summervibes Clearwater event in an amount not to exceed $9,150. The event will take place on April 6, 2024, with an estimated attendance of 2,500.
The ILDS, Inc. estimates that the total budget cost for this event will be $13,250. Their contribution will be $7,250 and are asking the Downtown Development Board for a total of $6,000 to cover costs associated with Event DJ and Projected City Expenses. After a review of the budget that was submitted staff felt that a higher recommendation was appropriate in coordination with the Downtown Development Board Funding Policy.
Based on the Downtown Development Board Funding Policy staff recommends funding this event in an amount not to exceed $9,150, which will cover up to $900 for Live DJ, $4,500 for projected city fees, and up to $3,750 in Marketing through social media, photos, video, and event intro reel.
ILDS, Inc. has applied for the Special Event Permit.
Pending board approval, ILDS, Inc. will complete a grant agreement that outlines the details of their event and the marketing benefits for the DDB as part of their grant agreement.
APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:
Funds for this grant are available in the Marketing Category Line items 1829411-558600 for the DDB’s FY 23/24 Budget.
