SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Clearwater has an at-large member who serves on the Board of Directors. Members do not have to meet specific qualification requirements. However, individuals appointed to serve on the board are expected to be adults interested in or having some familiarity with education, welfare, health, housing, or other related needs and services in Pinellas County and a keen awareness of and sensitivity to supporting poverty programs and initiatives aimed at helping low-income people become self-sufficient. The Clearwater City Council identifies the Clearwater representative, and the Pinellas County Board of Commissioners confirms the appointment.
