Approve a Legal Services Agreement with Unice Salzman Jensen for representation for the Municipal Code Enforcement Board and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. (consent)

SUMMARY:
Andrew Salzman, Esq. has been representing the Municipal Code Enforcement Board under an open-ended Legal Services Agreement since December 1, 2000 at an hourly rate of $135.00 per hour. The hourly rate has not increased since then.
It is now preferred to have agreements renewed at least every five years, even if they are exempt from the bidding requirements of the Code of Ordinances.
The new agreement establishes an hourly rate of $175.00 per hour and a term of five years.
This agreement is exempt from the bidding requirements under Section 2.563(g), Clearwater Code of Ordinances.
APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:
Funds are available in cost code 0109700-530100, Professional Services, to fund this contract.
