Review an update on the status of repairs to the public art installation located at the intersection of US19 and State Road 60.

SUMMARY:
At a previous meeting, the Board requested that staff investigate the process to repair the LED lights of the public art installation located at the intersection of US19 and State Road 60. After consulting with various representatives of FDOT, the department recommended for the City to file a Community Aesthetic Feature (CAF) application for replacement lighting to bring the installation up to FDOT current standards for this type of project. To do so, the City must provide engineered drawings depicting the lighting and its integration into the overpass structure.
Staff is currently working with FDOT and the project artist to locate the original engineered drawings from the installation in 2012. Once located, these drawings will be updated to include upgraded lighting and a CAF application will be submitted. As part of the agreement the City acknowledges that it is responsible for the maintenance of the upgraded lighting.
