SUMMARY:
Denetra Maxwell was the 46-year old driver of a vehicle that was struck by a city vehicle on May 18, 2018. The City has been determined to be liable for the collision and the injuries resulting to Ms. Maxwell. She sustained injuries to her neck, lower back, left shoulder, and left arm. She has incurred substantial costs for treatment of her injuries and her physicians have opined that she is likely to incur substantial costs in the future.
Authority is being sought to settle this case for $103,116.71, in exchange for which the City will receive a full release and the pending civil action will be dismissed with prejudice.
