Body

SUMMARY:

ITB 20-0021-EN closed on September 2, 2020 with Hinterland Group Inc. as the lowest, most responsible bidder.

This project establishes an annual contract for the cleaning, video inspection and point repair or full reconstruction of storm sewer lines by the installation of a resin impregnated cured in place pipe (RICIPP) lining at various locations throughout the City.

Stormwater infrastructure experiences decreased capacity at the end of its useful life. Performing repairs by this pipe lining method increases life span, prevents structural failure of the stormwater conveyance system components and is much less intrusive than typical open cut construction.

The Engineering Department will direct the contractor to high priority pipe systems as established by review of inspection reports and maintenance records.

This is a unit price contract not to exceed a total of $1,000,000 annually with an estimated start date of December 1, 2020.

The City reserves the option to approve annual extensions of the contract up to three additional one-year renewal terms, through end of 2024.

APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:

ENST180001-CONS-CNSTRC $1,000,000

Funds are available in Capital Improvement Project ENST180001, Storm System Improvements, to fund the contract and will be included in FY2022 through FY2024 Capital Improvement Program for future renewals in the amount of $1,000,000 per year.
