Approve a Contract for Maintenance and Services Agreement to Convergint Technologies, Ltd. of Schaumburg, IL, for an amount not to exceed $506,392.22 for services and maintenance of hardware and software for building security control systems and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. SUMMARY:
Convergint Technologies was selected as the top respondent to the City’s RFP 32-18 Building Security Hardware and Software for installation and maintenance of building access control systems.
The contract agreement is for a period of 5 years from January 2019 through December 2024 and includes all hardware, software and maintenance fees in support of the City’s enterprise access control platform.
The contract includes a 1-year warrantee for all workmanship and hardware, service levels for unscheduled service and maintenance emergencies.
APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:
Funds are budgeted and available in the Information Technology operating budget, cost codes 5559864-530300 (contractual services) for planned expenditures in the current fiscal year. Expenditures for future fiscal years will be budgeted in the same line item of the IT Admin Services budget.
