Approve a Joint Project Agreement (JPA) between Pinellas County and the City of Clearwater for the Hercules Avenue Sidewalk Phase 2 project from Sherwood Street to Sunset Point Road (18-0002-UT) for utility relocations in the amount of $520,317; approve an Engineer of Record (EOR) Work Order from AECOM in the amount of $104,955 and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. SUMMARY:
Pinellas County intends to improve sidewalks on Hercules Avenue from Sherwood Street to Sunset Point Road. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in November 2019 with completion anticipated in April 2021.
Construction will require the relocation of City water and sanitary sewer lines that conflict with proposed improvements within project limits.
Pinellas County will receive competitive bids for their sidewalk improvements project and award to the low bidder. The City will be advised of the actual contract bid costs and be given the opportunity to reject the bid if deemed excessive.
EOR work order from AECOM is for design, permitting, bidding and limited Construction Engineering Services for the City of Clearwater’s Utility Relocation.
