Approve the award of Invitation to Bid 26-18 to IES Sales and Service, LLC of Opa Locka, FL, in the annual amount of $50,000 for the purchase of roll-off containers, effective for a one-year term with two, one-year renewal terms at the City’s option and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. (consent)

SUMMARY:
The City of Clearwater’s Solid Waste Department collects bulk trash, construction and demolition debris, and yard waste from our customers. For large quantities, the Department uses roll-off containers to transport this debris to State-permitted disposal facilities.
Although the Department makes repairs on roll-off containers when possible, replacement is inevitable. This contract is for the purchase of new roll-off containers to replace inventory.
On June 22, 2018, the Purchasing Department advertised Invitation to Bid 26-18 for roll-off containers. Four bids were received on July 24, 2015. IES Sales and Service LLC was the lowest, responsible bidder. This bid allows for two, one-year extensions following the initial one-year term.
