Approve Williamson Dacar Associates of Clearwater, Florida as the Architect of Record (AOR) to complete a feasibility study to enhance and/or repurpose areas of the Main Library to coordinate with modifications to Coachman Park as an element of Imagine Clearwater. (consent)

SUMMARY:
March 29, 2017, letters were sent to the City’s AOR’s to determine firms that would be interested in completing a feasibility study for enhancement and/or repurposing areas of the Main Library as identified in the Imagine Clearwater Master Plan.
Four firms responded and oral presentations to the City’s selection committee were completed on May 25, 2017. The committee, consisting of the Assistant City Manager, the Library Director and the Assistant Directors of Planning and Development and Engineering, recommends Williamson Dacar for the study. This recommendation is based upon the proposed study approach, experience and capabilities of the firm and qualifications of personnel.
If the cost for the study exceeds the $100,000 threshold, the Work Order will be presented for approval.
