SUMMARY:
Sarita Merricks alleges that on August 11, 2008, excessive force was used during the course of a traffic stop by Clearwater police officers. She alleges injuries as a result, including a torn rotator cuff that required surgical repair.
Authority is being sought to settle this case for $30,000, in exchange for which the City will receive a full release and the pending civil action will be dismissed with prejudice.
