SUMMARY:
The closure of the 400 & 500 blocks of Cleveland Street started as temporary initiative to support local businesses due to operational pressures from the pandemic. The street closure initiative evolved into a permanent initiative that is inextricably tied to the revitalization of downtown Clearwater. The presentation is an update on the ideas and tactics used to promote the Cleveland Street Activation area and how the use of mobile vending and creating unique public spaces has evolved.
