Authorize a purchase order to GSA Security, Inc. of Tampa, FL, for the purchase, installation, maintenance, and repairs of security cameras in the not-to-exceed amount of $200,000.00 through October 24, 2024, with two, one-year renewal options in an annual not-to-exceed amount of $200,000.00 each year pursuant to Clearwater Code of Ordinances Section 2.563(1)(c), Piggyback, and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. (consent)

 

Body

SUMMARY: 

The City currently has approximately 800 Axis IP security cameras composed primarily of exterior facility security cameras.

 

The Information Technology Department requests authorization to use GSA Security for the purchase and installation of new cameras and the maintenance of new and existing cameras, piggyback from Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS), Bid No. 21089-MST-KJ valid through October 24, 2024, with two, one-year renewal options.  Should the contract be extended by HCPS and GSA, authorization is requested to extend our contract accordingly with oversight from our Procurement Division.

 

Projects anticipated during this contract term include Crest Lake Park Security, Cleveland Street Downtown District & Mercado, Osceola Parking Garage, City Hall, Fire Station 47, construction monitoring and other locations for the Intelligent Policing Project.

 

APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:

Installation of security cameras at other city facilities will be funded from various operating capital codes as requested, and Information Technology CIP 94873 (Citywide Camera System).

 

STRATEGIC PRIORITY:

These purchase helps accomplish strategic objectives 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4.  The Information Technology Department maintains critical public infrastructure to deliver sustain a high level of service to support a safe and healthy community.
