Accept Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Grant Agreement Amendment No. 2 (Financial Project No. 446805-1-94-01) in the amount of $374,785 for the Remill and Overlay Project at Clearwater Executive Airport and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. (consent)

SUMMARY:
On May 18, 2023, City Council approved the original Public Transportation Grant Agreement in the amount of $2,000,000 for the Remill and Overlay Project at Clearwater Executive Airport.
On April 22, 2025, City Council approved Amendment No. 1, increasing the total project cost to $2,472,235, with FDOT participation of $1,977,788 (80%) and a required local match of $494,447 (20%).
Amendment No. 2 provides an additional $374,785 in total project funding, increasing the total project cost to $2,847,020, with FDOT participation of $2,277,680 (80%) and a required local match of $569,340 (20%).
This increase reflects additional FDOT participation for Fiscal Year 2026 and aligns total grant funding with current project costs associated with the Airport apron rehabilitation improvements.
Pursuant to the Operating Agreement, FlyUSA is responsible for reimbursing the City for a portion of the required local match in an amount not to exceed $94,447. All remaining local match obligations are funded through Airpark Reserves.
APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:
Capital project, G2306, Apron Relayment, was established with revenues from the Airpark Fund and FlyUSA to provide matching funds necessary for this agreement.
