Discuss implementation of “smart plaques” and new art database for city of Clearwater.

SUMMARY:
The city has purchased 60 smart plaques for all existing art and historical pieces, including gifts from our sister city, Nagano, Japan. These plaques feature NFC technology, detailed information about each piece, and a QR code. When scanned, the QR codes direct users to the city’s new art database. Each piece will have its own dedicated webpage under the Arts and Cultural section of the city’s website.
