Presentation - City of Clearwater Official Delegation Trip to Nagano, Japan

SUMMARY:
The City of Clearwater completed its official delegation trip to Sister City, Nagano, Japan in July in honor of the 65th anniversary. This presentation highlights some key moments from the visit.
This delegation trips typically occur every five years; however, due to hurricanes and typhoons, this trip had been postponed or cancelled many times, making 2025 our first visit to Nagano in nearly a decade.
Unfortunately, due to many factors like staffing and the decline of the Japanese yen, our Sister City partners have decided to postpone their visit to Clearwater originally planned for 2026. They do plan to visit in Clearwater for the 70th Anniversary of our Sister Cities relationship.
