Body

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this item is to request approval of funding for the Cleveland Street Banner Initiative aimed to enhance the Cleveland Street pedestrian district with professionally printed and installed banners.

This project will feature alternating banners with the Downtown Clearwater logo and feature downtown Murals displayed on light poles along the 400 to 700 blocks of Cleveland Street, from Osceola Avenue to Myrtle Avenue. The banners will contribute to the visual appeal and identity of the area, supporting ongoing CRA and DDB efforts to improve the district's aesthetic and promote community partnerships.

City staff contacted Florida Graphic Services (FGS), the vendor awarded under RFP 58-24, for a quote on printing and installing street pole banners. The quote was based on the pricing outlined in the RFP. Additionally, in the quote, FGS offered a 24-month maintenance program (not included in the RFP) in the amount of $12,000.00 Through this maintenance program, FGS will go out to the site monthly to inspect and adjust banners as needed.  In addition, in the event of a storm and banners need to be removed, FGS will remove and reinstall the banners following the storm.  The amount remaining will be used for any additional items needed through the 24-month term.
