Approve a location change for the May 9, 2026 Market Marie from Coachman Park to Cleveland Street from Fort Harrison to East Avenue.

SUMMARY:
At the June 2, 2025, DDB meeting Market Marie was approved for a High Impact Special event Grant from was approved for grant funding to produce a monthly market on the second Saturday of each month at Coachman Park.
Market Marie has requested approval to amend the location of its approved Downtown Development Board (DDB) grant-funded event scheduled for May 9, 2026. The event is scheduled to be relocated to Cleveland Street (from Fort Harrison Avenue to East Avenue).
This change is necessary due to a scheduling conflict with the Country Thunder music festival, which will take place in Coachman Park from May 8-10, 2026.
Grant Compliance:
Per the grant agreement between the DDB and Market Marie, the grantee must notify the DDB of cancellation or modification of an approved program due to circumstances beyond the grantee’s control. Any significant changes, including location modifications, require DDB approval.
Event Details:
• The scope of the event remains unchanged.
• The event will continue to be free and open to the public.
• The new location along Cleveland Street will support the same vendor market layout and community activation as originally proposed.
