Coachman Park Governance Stakeholder Group Project - Kathy Blaha Consulting (WSO)

SUMMARY:
At the March 23, 2021 Special Council Work Session, Council discussed the feasibility of park management and community partnership opportunities for Coachman Park following completion of the Imagine Clearwater project. Staff was directed to issue a Request for Proposal pertaining to Park Governance Consulting Services (RFP #38-21), and subsequently entered into an agreement with Kathy Blaha Consulting on July 19, 2021 to provide these services.
Over the past twelve months, Kathy Blaha Consulting has met with various internal and external stakeholders to develop a Governance Task Force, with the goal of exploring and recommending a sustainable management structure for potential community programming and nonprofit activities throughout Coachman Park.
At the August 29, 2022 Council Work Session, Kathy Blaha Consulting will provide an overview and subsequent findings of the project, in anticipation of establishing a framework for community-based programming at Coachman Park including frequency and types of events, as well as discussing the appropriate level of service provided by the City.
