Title

Approve a contract (purchase order) to Oracle America, Inc., Redwood Shores, CA for the period of October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 for software maintenance, at a cost not to exceed $252,586, in accordance with Sec. 2.564(1) (b) Code of Ordinances, sole source, and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same.

SUMMARY: 

This is an annual contract for PeopleSoft (payroll system) at $117,815; Oracle (database licensing) at $35,109; Oracle OWAM maintenance (asset management system) at $81,783; and Oracle Mobile Device at $17,879.

This Purchase Order represents an approximate $31,675 increase from a year ago.  The increase in maintenance is due to the purchase of additional licensing for PeopleSoft and database systems, and annual incremental licensing overhead.
