The DDB 1st Friday Lunchtime Market has successfully increased lunchtime foot traffic, supported local vendors and restaurants, and enhanced downtown vibrancy. Held on the first Friday of each month with targeted marketing, vendor recruitment, and on-site programming, the market demonstrated measurable growth in attendance, vendor participation, and engagement from October through December. Extending the program will build on this momentum and allow further evaluation of long-term sustainability.
The market supports the City’s Strategic Plan by promoting economic development, strengthening local businesses, and fostering community engagement, contributing to a vibrant and economically resilient downtown district.
