Schedule a special work session on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of holding a strategic planning session at the Morningside Recreation Center. (consent)

SUMMARY:
Per City Council Policy 3-11, “prior to June 1st of each year and prior to the development of the City Manager’s proposed budget, the City Council shall meet in a strategic planning session(s) to review the five-year financial forecast and update as necessary, the City’s Vision, Mission and Strategic Direction (Goals). From these documents a five-year strategic plan will be updated.”
Staff is requesting to hold two sessions this year: February 9, 2026 and March 4, 2026.
