Approve Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Agreement MV149 for CVA14-720, Clean Vessel Act Grant Program funding for the operation, maintenance and repair of the Clearwater Beach Marina pump out vessel and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. (consent)

SUMMARY:
The DEP, under the Florida's Clean Vessel Act Grant Program, makes provision for reimbursement for the operation, maintenance and repair of the pump out vessel. Grant funding has been approved in the amount of $12,015.66 (75% of project costs) through December 17, 2015. The city match of $4,005.22 (25% of project costs) will be accounted for in hourly wages and parts cost.
The City is required to conduct operation of the pump out vessel under a Pump out Station Operational Plan that specifies hours of operation, maintenance principles, methods in determining volume of material pumped including the use of flow meters as may be necessary, information/educational materials on pump out operation and assurances that the pump out vessel will be used solely for the collection of recreational boat sewage. A pump out log is required each calendar quarter.
