Approve the amendments to the current 2023-2025 Downtown Development Board Work Plan that includes performance measure for FY 2024-2025.

SUMMARY:
On April 26, 2024, the Legislature passed HB 7013 which created Fla. Stat §189.0694.
The new statute requires all special districts to “establish goals and objectives” for each program and program and activity undertaken by the district by October 1, 2024. The statute also requires all special districts to create performance measures and standards to determine if those goals and objectives are being achieved. Finally, special districts must publish an annual report by December 1 each year, describing the goals and objectives achieved, as well as the performance measures and standards used by the special district to make this determination and list any goals or objectives that were not achieved.
The amendments to the Work Plan ensure that the Downtown Development Board complies with the new statute. Further, the Downtown Development Board will post an annual report as required by the statute December 1, 2025, and every year thereafter.
