Confirm the Declaration of a State of Emergency due to conditions surrounding Tropical Storm Idalia and adopt Resolution 23-16.

SUMMARY: 

The entire City of Clearwater was threatened by the wind and rain and disruption of services and coastal areas were threatened by storm surge attendant to the arrival of Tropical Storm Idalia.

Mayor Brian J. Aungst, Sr. issued a Proclamation of a State of Emergency on August 28, 2023. Section 15.07(2) of the Code of Ordinances requires the City Council to confirm a Declaration of a State of Emergency at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
