SUMMARY:
On July 7, 2014, a city vehicle was involved in an accident with a motor scooter operated by Joel Cleveland. As a result of the collision, Mr. Cleveland suffered injuries, some of which eventually required surgery. He has been and continues to be treated for his injuries. He has incurred medical bills in excess of $22,000.
Authority is being sought to settle this case for $50,000 in exchange for which the City will receive a full release and the civil action will be dismissed with prejudice.
