Discuss invite to Summer Solar Celebrations.

SUMMARY:
The Sustainability & Environmental Division has invited the Board to send a representative to their upcoming community engagement events celebrating the completion of solar projects installed over the past year. They would like the representative to speak at these events regarding the community benefits of solar.
Two events have been scheduled:
1. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
North Greenwood Recreation Center - 905 N Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33755
2. Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Countryside Library - 2620 Sabal Springs Dr, Clearwater, FL 33761
Staff is requesting the Board: 1) determine if there is an interest to participate and 2) identify a representative to attend and speak at each event.
STRATEGIC PRIORITY:
4.1 - Adopt renewable resource usage and waste reduction practices to ensure a vibrant city for current and future generations.
3.3 - Promote marketing and outreach strategies that encourage stakeholder engagement, enhance community education, and build public trust.
