Discuss New Public Art Grants and Application

SUMMARY:
In the past, discretionary funds were allocated within the cultural affairs budget for public art projects. To increase awareness of these funds, the Cultural Affairs Division has introduced a new online application process for grants. A total of $20,000 is available annually, split into two grant cycles of $10,000 each. This funding can be distributed across multiple projects. Grant recipients for the first cycle will be chosen in January, while those for the second cycle will be selected in May. Both business or property owners and artists are eligible to apply, with the grant funds being paid directly to the artists.
