Approve a date change to June 6, 2026, for The Florida Orchestra Symphony by the Sea Concert.

SUMMARY:
At March 2, 2026, DDB meeting the board approved a High Impact Grant for The Florida Orchestra (TFO) to produce Symphony by the Sea at The BayCare Sound on May 8, 2026 from 7:30-9:30 pm
TFO is requesting approval to amend the date of its approved Downtown Development Board (DDB) grant-funded event, Symphony by the Sea, to June 6, 2026.
This change is necessary due to a scheduling conflict with the Country Thunder music festival, which will take place in Coachman Park from May 8-10, 2026.
The proposed new date of June 6, 2026, falls within the current fiscal year and complies with these requirements.
The original scope of the concert remains the same having a free and open to the public concert but now it will include a Preferred Seating area at $15 per ticket.
In a salute to America 250, we're honoring the American spirit through music, with Armed Forces Salute, America the Beautiful and Tchaikovsky's explosive 1812 Overture, along with movie music, Broadway hits and classical favorites. All led by TFO Resident Conductor Chelsea Gallo. There will be a local food drive in partnership with the Salvation Army, and staff is inviting area community organizations to set up information booths.
