Authorize purchase orders to Consolidated Pipe and Supply, Ferguson Waterworks, Palm Beach Plumbing Parts and Test Gauge and Backflow Supply, Inc. for backflow devices and parts, in an annual not-to-exceed amount of $711,029.00 with the option for two, one-year extensions pursuant to Invitation to Bid 37-26, Backflow Devices and Parts, and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same.

SUMMARY:
Invitation to Bid (ITB) #37-26, Backflow Devices and Parts, was issued on May 6, 2026, and 11 bids were received on June 10, 2026. Following a comprehensive review of the bids, the Public Utilities Department determined that Consolidated Pipe & Supply, Ferguson Waterworks, Palm Beach Plumbing Parts, and Test Gauge & Backflow Supply, Inc. are the lowest responsive and responsible bidders meeting the requirements of the solicitation for the categories identified below:

This contract will help ensure that the City maintains adequate inventory of new backflow assemblies and repair components necessary to support ongoing replacements, repairs, and new installations throughout the City’s water distribution system. Maintaining sufficient inventory is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting the potable water system, and minimizing service disruptions to customers.
The estimated annual expenditure under this contract is $711,029.00. The Public Utilities Department will ensure that all contract requirements, including insurance coverage, are satisfied and that an approved purchase order is issued prior to the procurement of materials under this contract.
APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT:
Budgeted funds for FY26 are available in Public Utilities’ cost centers, cost code 550400, operating supplies & materials. Funded by revenues from the Water & Sewer Utility Enterprise Fund.
Funding for future years will be requested within contract calendar and spending limits.
STRATEGIC PRIORITY:
Establishing this contract meets the City’s strategic objective of High Performing Government by providing a high level of service at our facilities.
