Consider a request from the Veterans Alliance of Clearwater to allow for upfront funding in an amount not to exceed $41,000 for the Memorial Event.

SUMMARY:
At the February 7, 2024, Downtown Development Board meeting the Board approved a grant funding request for Veterans Alliance Clearwater, Corp for a Memorial Day Event in an amount not to exceed $81,000.
Members from the Veterans Alliance Clearwater, Corp met with staff and have requested an amendment to their grant agreement to allow for upfront funding in an amount not to exceed $41,000.
Veterans Alliance member request for the upfront funding will cover:
• Up to $21,000 in Sound and Lighting
• Up to $10,000 Labor Expenses and Setup.
• Up to $10,000 in Music and Entertainment-Speakers, Band, Emcee, Decorations

Funds for this grant are available in the Marketing Category Line 1829411-558600 for the DDB’s FY 23/24 Budget
